Head of Strategy
Management and Leadership Development
Even though I have an MBA, I excel at being second fiddle – I like making others successful.
I’ve always helped people learn, grow, and develop. My move to Poland in 1988, gave me many opportunities to learn—especially such things as patience and the ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment. The experience of leading or being part of 10 start-up teams in Central and Eastern Europe has taught me about working with people, setting and achieving goals, and leading teams. Sitting on the Board of Directors of 5 organizations has taught me how to find ways to measure the “unmeasurable” (soft skills) and to help people see how that is possible.
Chief Operating Officer
English Philology, Management, and Cognitive-Behavioral Psychology
I focus on helping people to change their habits, starting from myself.
I am an organizer, a pusher, and an adventure lover. Being curious about communication and human relations, I constantly look for links between these two in life and business. In my work as a trainer, I am a big fan of clear messages and making one’s life easier. My insights help participants find out how to become a more successful and happier human being. For me, every day, situation, experience is a lesson learned. My cycling passion taught me how to be persistent and keep the goal in mind, and some life situations taught me how to find good things in every aspect of life, regardless of whether positive or negative.

Newspaper journalism
I am a writer, a thinker, and a learner.
I was a reporter for a string of British newspapers and an agency back in the day when the philosophy was to cover all sides of a story. My career took me through three local/city papers; one regional Sunday tabloid; and an international news agency, supplying the national press from The Sun to The Daily Telegraph, as well as publications around the world, with UK news and features. My journalism adventure let me explore my passion for the English language. It also taught me the importance of accuracy, tenacity and, above all, integrity. As an uncle to 17 nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, I realise how important it is to connect with your inner child. There’s always something new to learn; there’s always an opportunity to grow and have fun while doing so. My ongoing challenge is to master Polish – and it isn’t going well….

Languages & Linguistics, Pedagogy / Educating
Learner, teacher, optimist. That’s me. I’m passionate about good communication, and I don’t just mean linguistic accuracy. I’m the one shouting at the TV when two sitcom characters are having a relational crisis simply because they can’t, or won’t, express themselves properly, with empathy for the other person. I believe that striving to convey what we think/need/feel, whilst putting ourselves in the other person’s shoes, is the best way to solve a large percentage of life’s problems, whether those problems are business-related or otherwise. The other aspect of being a learner and a teacher is that you can be sure that “if Caroline teaches a principle, she also applies it” – I need to test how effective something is before I recommend it to someone else.
I have lots of public speaking experience, with audiences of hundreds of people and I’m a firm believer in being prepared, whilst leaving room for spontaneity. This experience enables me to help participants find ways to overcome their own nerves on stage – some of it comes from the time I spent being a Gospel choir director in Krakow, leading concerts and engaging with the audience. I’m British, but most often I was doing that in Polish, so I know some of the challenges faced by non-native speakers of English face when facing a crowd. My main role in the choir was learning how to sing various songs and teaching them to others. Hmm… learning and teaching… can’t seem to get away from it!
Senior Trainer
Communications Engineering, Project Management, Systems Development, Tertiary Education.
I bring over 40 years of business experience into my training and I love helping people to see what they can achieve when they communicate with each other.
I like to challenge my participants to pish their boundaries and get brave. When they realise that you can negotiate upwards, that you can set boundaries, that you can ask for change in business relationships, it is a great thing to see. I love to work with startups and innovators and anyone who has an idea they’d like to pitch. Showing people what they can say in just 3 minutes is so much fun. I’m resourceful, the McGuyver version of a trainer, always willing to adapt the program when a group of participants wants to go off script or raises related real-world issues that connect to the training we’re doing. In short, I love my job.

I believe everybody loves public speaking—they just don’t know it yet.
