CEO / Senior Trainer
I’m an enthusiast, a teacher and a creator. In my work as a trainer I aim to develop professionals by influencing their attitudes, habits and convictions. In my work as a consultant I act as a facilitator of change, helping organizations improve their long-term business results. There’s selfishness in my work – every project is a new learning experience for me as well, not just the Client!
As a founder and leader of Accent group (currently 3 companies employing over 200 people), I learn about business everyday, the moment I wake up. So the biggest asset I bring in to any program is years of my own experience in the field.
COO / CFO / Senior Trainer
I’m a husband, a thinker and a mentor. Like any good trainer, I love helping people grow and develop. I’ve been helping people learn, grow and develop since I started leading Bible studies during my university studies.
My move to Poland in 1988 gave me many opportunities to learn—especially such things as patience and the ability to adapt to the constantly changing environment of post-Communist Poland. The experience of establishing or being part of the start-up team of 10 organizations in Central and Eastern Europe has taught me about working with people, setting and achieving goals, and leading teams.
Sitting on the Board of Directors of 5 organizations has taught me how to find ways to evaluate “unmeasurable” soft skills and to help people see how it’s possible to measure the “unmeasurable”.
Legal & Compliance / Senior Trainer
I am an organizer, a pusher and an adventure lover. Being curious about communication and human relations, I constantly seek for links between these two in life and business.
In my work as a trainer, I am a big fan of clear messages and making one’s life easier. My insight helps the participants to find out how to become a more successful and happier human being.
For me, every day, situation, experience is a lesson learned. My cycling passion taught me how to be persistent and keep the goal in mind and some life situations taught me how to find good things in every aspect of life, regardless if positive or negative.
I believe the true value of communication is authenticity. Communication is not about ‘tips and tricks’, but genuine understanding of the other person, and willingness to be open and honest on our side.
I’m a philosopher – I always need to know why things appear the way they do. I look for the underlying principles and mechanisms to understand what I see on the surface.
I like putting my knowledge and beliefs to test. Nothing makes me happier than go out and meet new challenges that will verify my skills and knowledge.
I’m authentic – Life’s too important to be someone else than you are. And you can only truly communicate with others, if you communicate your true self.
My business background is in journalism. I’ve worked as a reporter for three local papers; one regional Sunday tabloid; and an international news agency, supplying the national press like The Times and The Daily Telegraph, as well as publications around the world, with UK news and features.
I am a writer, a thinker and a learner.
My career in newspaper journalism let me explore my passion for the English language. It also taught me the importance of accuracy, tenacity and, above all, integrity. Now, I satisfy my creative thirst by writing children’s books.
As an uncle to 15 nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, I realise how important it is to connect with your inner child. There’s always something new to learn; there’s always an opportunity to grow. My next challenge is to master Polish.
My hobbies include poker, chess, and juggling. The latter is a great way to relax — it clears your mind of all thoughts, giving you a blank canvas with which you can…. erm…. sorry – what was I talking about?
I am an altruist, a helper and a caretaker. In my work as a trainer, teacher and translator, I strive for close-knit, supportive relationships based on mutual respect. Empathy over judgement, giving over taking -- that is my type of attitude. I try to instill those values into my three children, and there is nothing more rewarding for me than watching the fruit of my work bloom in the way those kids act.
My adventure with Business Communication started at the English Philology Department of the Jagiellonian University, back in the times when one used transparencies for presenting content on overhead projectors. Years have passed and although technology is nothing like it used to be, one universal truth still remains the same in the corporate world: businesses can be successful only if they’re based on good relationships.
In my free time, I supervise professional boxing fights, take care of my garden, and absorb scarce information about the Republic of Cuba.
Through the years, I’ve gathered a lot of knowledge and practical experience in the field of administration and marketing strategies, which allows me to provide a professional approach to customers and to run company offices efficiently.
I believe that the success of an organisation depends on effective cooperation between people and good communication on every level -- that is why I focus on the people with whom I work.
Each organisation has its own rules and regulations; but for me, people – with their passion and energy -- are the core of any company.
I am detail oriented and a born multi-tasker. Handling unexpected situations and new challenges is a skill I learned not only at work, but also from my deep passion for travel.
